Complex disease spread
If a disease is severe enough, it will cause a societal response. Here, we discuss how this can lead to highly complex dynamics in seasonal diseases. We demonstrate how such complex dynamics may even be desirable for a society that aims to balance disease burden and economic costs of the response.
